Parts of Glasgow and Lanarkshire are to be battered by snow and ice as yet another weather warning has been issued for the area.

Following off the back of the chaos of Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, the Met Office has issued a yellow alert from Monday evening until 11am on Tuesday.

Travel disruption is to be expected as a result.

It comes after Glasgow was battered by gale-force winds, torrential rain and snow for the past week. 

A Met Office forecast reads: "Snow showers and icy surfaces may lead to some travel disruption through Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

"Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services

"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths".
