A CHARITY is encouraging people to register as a stem cell donors.
DKMS wants more people to become donors to help those with blood cancer.
The charity is holding registration events in West Cumbria in April and is also looking for volunteers to help.
A charity spokesman said: "We will be registering as many people that are willing, throughout the day.
"Registration will only take 10-15 minutes and we will do everything we can to make sure no one has to wait to register .
"For more information on eligibility to be a donor and what being a donor involves please visit www.dkms.org.uk."
Volunteers are needed volunteers for the following events:
- Whitehaven, 20th April 20
- Sellafield, 21st April 21
- Westlakes Science Park, April 22
- Market Hall, Egremont, April 23
- Xtreme gym, Lillyhall, April 24
It costs the charity £40 to process each registration onto the register.
