SIGNALLING failures have left commuters stranded at platforms and on trains.
A signalling system failure at Upminster has caused several delays on the c2c line.
Trains travelling to London are running at a reduced speed becuase of the failure.
There have been a number of cancellations of trains travelling in and out of the capital, which include the 7.31 Laindon to London service, the 7.32 service from London to Pitsea, the 7.44 service from Southend to London, the 8.02 service from London to Grays, the 8.14 service from London to Grays, and the 9.08 service from London to Shoebury.
There are delays of around 10 minutes on almost every train.
Disruption is expected to last until around 8.30.
Passengers are also reporting that trains are stationary across the lines due to a long queue of services.
