Four men have already been charged in connection with the alleged murder of Mr Hussain, who had suffered a gunshot wound. Their trial date is yet to be confirmed.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Robinson, said: “Mr Hussain was found dead in a property in Charterhouse Street, Hartlepool and had suffered a gunshot wound.

“He was a father-of-two who had served in the Kurdish military.

“We’d appeal to anyone who can provide information to help us locate these wanted men to get in contact with police, and if anyone sees these men, they are asked not to approach them but to contact us on 999.”

DCI Robinson added: “We also continue to search for two further men, of unknown identity, who we believe can help us with our enquiries. They are a man believed to be in his 40s – who was a passenger in a silver Mercedes E Class – and a man, thought to be in his 20s, who is pictured wearing a grey ‘Fila’ brand sweatshirt and dark trousers.

“We want to re-appeal to anyone who believes they have information which could help our investigation to get in touch.”
