LONG standing supporters of Llandudno lifeboat, the Lions Club of Llandudno, recently made a donation of £200.

The money was raised at the Llandudno Boxing Day Dip which supported a number of local charities. Llandudno RNLI lifeboat operations manager Captain Marcus Elliot is pictured receiving the cheque from Councillor Frank Bradfield, President of the Llandudno Lions.

Marcus commented on how important such support is to help maintain the RNLI's vital search and rescue facility on this part of the North Wales coast.

Annually Llandudno lifeboat crew takes to the sea to help protect the hundreds of swimmers who join the annual Boxing Day Dip to raise funds for charity.

Sue Perkins, chairman of fundraising for Llandudno lifeboat, welcoming the donation said: “Community support, whether from organisations like the Lions or individual members of the public, is most highly valued and is essential to ensure Llandudno Lifeboat can continue to provide this valuable life saving service".
