A PENSIONER who was violently attacked by a gang of thugs in Milton is a relative of the city's notorious Daniel crime clan, it has emerged.

The Daily Record obtained video footage of the violent assault on the 69-year-old victim.

It shows her attackers getting out of a car and then heading towards her property in Castlebay Street on Monday at around 3.25 pm.

One of the men is carrying a weapon that looks like a cosh.

The newspaper reports that they forced entry to the house before they disappear out of view of the camera and accost the woman inside.

The footage then shows the pensioner appearing outside her front door in the garden where she is surrounded by the three men.

The victim is then violently hit in the face with a weapon with her head reeling back from the force of the blow.

Pictures of her injuries show a deep three-inch gash on her forehead and nose with blood covering her face.

She was treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has since been discharged.

No one else was injured as a result of the incident.

The only descriptions of the suspects, who drove off in a dark coloured car, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, are that they were all white, Scottish and in their mid to late 20s. One man had a grey hooded top on and another a dark baseball cap.
