WEIGHT loss clubs across the region have been helping out an Oswestry charity by collecting unwanted Christmas gifts and treats as donations.

Weight Watchers coach Carol Lewis and her Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Ellesmere members have all been involved in the new scheme aimed at helping Hope House Children’s Hospice in Morda.

Members have been searching their homes for tempting foods and donating them to the charity, as well as toiletries and toys.

The #WWGood scheme is promoted by Weight Watchers to also help others in the community outside of the workshops.

Carol and her members chose to help Hope Hospice this year to bring joy to children and families who use the hospice.

“All my members have been so generous again this year to support our collection,” said Carol.

“Toiletries, toys, raffle prizes and food treats were among the collection. Although no food is off limits on Weight Watchers, members like to get rid of the temptations and help others out at the same time.”

Carol runs Weight Watchers workshops across Oswestry, Ellesmere and Shrewsbury, and will be working with the new My Weight Watchers plan this year.
