PUPILS of Ysgol John Bright have enjoyed a non uniform day to raise funds for local charities.

The day, which was organised by the sixth form students, invited all to attend school in festive non-uniform, in return for a cash donation towards their local hospices, St David’s Hospice (for adults) and Ty Gobaith (for children).

The fundraising day raised £325 for St David’s Hospice and the donation was presented to Conwy area fundraiser, James Wilde at the Hospice on Abbey Rd, Llandudno.

James said: “This donation will not only help the care we give patients and their families here at the Hospice but it’s also great to see students get involved and help support the work that goes on in their community.”

St David’s Hospice cares for local people with advanced illnesses and those in need of end of life care. The charity needs to raise more than £4 million every year to continue providing high quality specialist care free of charge to the communities of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
