A BRITISH athlete and gold medallist made an “inspirational” visit to a Little Kingshill school last week.
Adrian Patrick, a former sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres, visited Little Kingshill Combined School on Wednesday, January 15.
The athlete, who won gold at the Commonwealth games in Victoria, Canada, in 2004, spent the morning visiting each of the Windsor Lane school’s year groups from nursery to year six before giving an “inspirational” assembly where he shared tips on how to reach your goals.
Speaking about the visit, a school spokesman said: “Ahead of the Olympic games in Tokyo this coming summer it was a timely visit, and one which the staff and children will remember for years to come.”
Adrian, 46, has previously represented Great Britain at one outdoor and two indoor World Championships.
