A 52-YEAR-OLD man has been released on police bail after a woman plunged to her death from a seventh floor flat.

He was initially arrested on suspicion of the murder of Nicola Redman, 33, who fell from Clarendon House in Hove just before 6am on Saturday. She died at the scene.

A pool of blood lay on the floor at the foot of the tower block on Saturday as paramedics carried the body into an ambulance.

Earlier, a witness said she had seen two police officers comforting someone outside the block of flats, saying “don’t worry, we’ll make sure you’re OK”.

The 52-year-old man was in custody for interview and further enquiries but has been bailed until February 13.
