Final score: Redditch United 0-2 Stratford Town
FORMER Redditch United striker Dan Sweeney returned to haunt his ex-club with a double strike for Stratford Town.
Sweeney netted a penalty on 33 minutes as the visitors had the better of the first half in their BetVictor Southern Premier League Central clash at the TRICO Stadium.
United 'keeper Kieran Boucher denied Stratford a second from a free kick and on 75 minutes Redditch could have equalised but Luke Shearer was only able to find the side netting.
Sweeney then secured the points with a second goal following a scramble on the line five minutes later.
The result leaves Redditch rock bottom of the league with just nine points from 25 games.
