1) Choose your hair removal method wisely
From shaving to waxing to epilating, there are a number of ways to remove unwanted body hair. Depending on your skin type, it is important to note that you may react differently to certain hair removal techniques. Those with sensitive skin may want to steer clear of harsher hair removal tactics like waxing and epilating and opt for shaving instead to ease the itch. Alternatively, if you have thicker and curlier hair these methods may be more useful as hair removal techniques, as they don’t clog up your razor. Whatever way you choose, be sure to take note of your skin type and the thickness of your hair. 2) Prep your skin correctly
For a smooth and irritation free shave, you want to prep your skin correctly. 3) It’s all in the direction

4) Rinse and repeat

5) Cool down and moisturise
The most important step when preventing itchiness is moisturisation. Any method of hair removal is going to heat up and irritate the skin a little, so it is important to immediately moisturise and cool it down in order to stop itchiness and tiny bumps forming on the skin. Avoid products with alcohol in it, as this can burn and sting the skin causing more itch. Instead, opt for ingredients such as aloe vera and tea tree oil that will help in soothing the skin and protecting against any infection.
