DOZENS of gifts collected by staff at Watson Buckle accountancy firm over the festive period have been donated to Bradford Royal Infirmary’s neonatal unit.

The company held a reverse advent calendar, where staff made donations to the unit.

Watson Buckle has raised thousands for the neonatal unit through Bradford Hospitals Charity, its charity for 2019.

The gifts included children’s books, muslin cloths, cutlery, and other baby supplies, alongside a cash donation.

The decision to raise money for the neonatal unit at BRI was made after director, Gillian Craven and her husband, experienced the unit’s care first-hand in 2018 when their son Rafe was born three months early.

, and was looked after by its dedicated team.

Gillian and Rafe visited the unit just before Christmas to make the donation and meet the staff members that helped them during Rafe’s stay.

Gillian said: “We were delighted to see the team once again at Bradford Royal Infirmary and thank them for all that they have done for Rafe and our family. Our team at Watson Buckle got behind the reverse advent calendar and we had some fantastic donations for the unit, I am forever grateful for all of their support for the charity.”
