The family of a man who died in a collision in Wednesbury have paid tribute to him.

Palminder Singh was driving a black VW Golf last Friday (6 December) when it was involved in a collision with a Jeep Cherokee on the A41 Black Country New Road in Wednesbury (between Dudley and Wallsall).

Sadly despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the 37-year-old, as well as a 21-year-old man in the Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene.

A further three people sustained serious injuries and remain in hospital.

Palminder’s family have released a tribute to a “kind-hearted" man: "On the 6 December 2019 our lives changed forever. Palminder Singh, 37, was a kind-hearted, selfless individual. He was a son, brother and a friend to many.

"He was driving a black VW Golf when he was the innocent victim of a head on collision. His loss has left our family broken.

"We urge anyone who may have any information from that night, to assist the police with their investigation."

Sergeant Alan Hands from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We’re are continuing to appeal to anyone that can assist our investigation to come forward.

“I’d ask that anyone who has information or witnessed what happened, in particular any motorists who were in the area and have dashcam footage to come forward and contact the investigation team."
