Former Rangers star Andy Gray reckons Brendan Rodgers would jump at the chance to manage Arsenal - and that he'd walk out on Leicester like he did Celtic to do so.

Rodgers sparked fury in Glasgow last year when he left Celtic to join the English Premier League with Leicester City.

With him went assistant Chris Davies and Kolo Toure, with fans of the Scottish champions raging with the trio.

On the verge of an historic treble Treble, Rodgers' timing to leave was met with anger and criticism.

But Andy Gray believes the Northern Irishman would do the same to the club he departed Celtic for if the Gunners came calling.

Unai Emery was recently sacked at the Emirates over their poor start to the season.

And Rodgers has emerged as a favourite for the job.

"He left Celtic three months before they were about to complete a treble treble and thought nothing of that," Gray told BeIn Sports.

"Ron Atkinson said it once to me when I was his assistant: 'if you ever get to go into management, Andy, if you get a chance to better yourself, if a bigger club comes in for you, take it'.

"It doesn't matter where Leicester are now - are Arsenal a bigger club than Leicester? Yes.

"So I think if Arsenal really wanted Brendan Rodgers , and I'm not saying they do, but if they really wanted Brendan Rodgers I think it would be a massive snub for him to turn it down.

"Sometimes these jobs only come up once.

"A club like Arsenal - it's a giant of a club. Not just in British football but in world football."
