Armed response officers swooped on a stolen car in Bolton today, recovering a gun and a sword.
Police intercepted the vehicle, with a stinger being used to prevent a pursuit.
Police officers then arrested the driver for burglary, possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.
Greater Manchester Police added that there were no injuries during the operation and the public is safe.
They tweeted: "Officers from #TVIU intercepted a stolen car in #Bolton, recovering a gun & sword. #STINGER used to prevent pursuit.
"With help from #ARV staff the driver has been arrested for burglary, possession of firearm & possession of offensive weapon.
No injuries, public safe. #SpecOps."
