POLICE are appealing for information from members of the public after a gang of men robbed a group teenagers in the street late at night.

The two male victims, aged 18 and 19, were with a group of four female friends – also teenagers – at the junction of Orchard Street and Bramley Mews in Stockton Heath at around 11pm on Friday, November 15, when a dark blue estate car pulled up ‘nearly running them off the road’.

Three of the four men in the car got out and threatened the pair, demanding that they hand over all of their belongings.

One offender ‘forcibly grabbed’ a Gucci bag from the 19-year-old, while a second stole his mobile phone.

Meanwhile, the third robber punched the 18-year-old in the face and attempted to steal his phone.

All three attackers – who were in their late teens – got back into the car, which then drove off from the scene turning left onto London Road.

One eyewitness described the incident as a ‘vicious gang attack’, while one of the offenders reportedly shouted ‘this is gang s***, don’t mess with us’ before getting back into the car.

The man who stole the bag is described as being black, around 5ft9 and of athletic build with black sideburns, while he was wearing a black raincoat with the hood up.

Police say the robber who took the mobile phone was white, around 6ft2, of ‘lanky’ build.

Witness described him as having a spotty face and short dark brown hair, and wearing a black long-sleeved jumper and black tracksuit bottoms.

The third offender was white, around 5ft10, of muscular build and also having a spotty face.

He was wearing a beanie hat and a long-sleeved navy blue jumper with black sleeves.

Meanwhile, the man who remained in the vehicle was described as being white.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may assist the investigation.

“They would also like to hear from any motorists who were driving on Orchard Street at the time of the incident and believes they may have witnessed the incident or captured the offenders on their dashcams.”

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number IML566027, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
