Lewis Cyprien had already admitted three counts of assaulting a woman, one count of causing criminal damage and another of theft in a dwelling.

The 27-year-old of Liddell Road, Oxford, carried out the violence on one woman on May 18, August 9 and October 13.

The assaults all took place in Oxford.

Lastly, he admitted before magistrates theft in a dwelling whereby between April 1 and 30 in Oxford he stole a number of items from the woman.

This included gaming equipment, a drill set, and £100.

That report, prepared by the National Probation Service, will explore all sentencing options.

The maximum penalty magistrates can impose is six months in prison.
