A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after being rescued from the River Eamont near Penrith.
Police were called to Eamont Bridge at about 10.55 this morning after concerns were raised about the welfare of a teenage girl.
A spokeswoman for Cumbria Police said: "A number of other agencies were called including the fire and rescue service.
"Police attended and the girl was taken by ambulance to hospital."
