A businessman who started training for a 10k race a week ago has raised £5,000 for a mosque project.
Tabz Zabier, of MyMed Pharmacy began sharing his daily training regime and encouraging people to donate via WhatsApp.
In the videos he is talked about his determination to finish the Blackburn 10k Run and raise money for the new mosque being built on Devonport Road, Blackburn. But he gave himself only seven days to complete the challenge.
This Sunday (November 17) joined by his school friends of 29 years Fax Lodal, Zeddy Patel and Emdad Hussain, he completed the run finishing at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers.
He posted, “Dear all, I’ve completed the 10K race. Huge motivation and team spirit from the boys. Love and respect for all the messages I got and people who cane to the finish line. I’m shattered!”
Earlier he said, “The pledged donations have exceeded my target.”
