MAGISTRATES have ordered that a dog should be destroyed unless an appeal is launched within 21 days.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Shane Poole, aged 37, of St Gregory’s Close, Farnworth was said to be the owner of a dog called Ellie which was dangerously out of control on June 13.

Poole and Shannon Bretherton were banned from owning or keeping any dog for five years and Poole was ordered to pay Greater Manchester Police £1781.45 in costs.

No insurance

A MOTORIST who drove a Toyota Yaris on St George’s Road, Bolton, without insurance has been fined £280 by Manchester magistrates.

Rudolf Kozak, aged 62, of Alice Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on June 9.

He was also ordered to pay £115 in cost and charges and he was banned from holding a licence for 12 months.

Drunk and disorderly in police station car park

A MAN who was drunk and disorderly in the car park at Bury police station on November 2 has been fined £60 by Manchester magistrates.

Shane Conway, aged 46, of Parkfield Avenue, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to committing the offence as well as damaging a car seat.

He was ordered to pay the car owner £60 in compensation and was also told he must pay £117 in costs and charges.

Drink driver was banned motorist

MAGISTRATES have jailed a banned driver after he was caught using an Audi A1 in Manchester.

Manchester magistrates heard how Jerone McKenzie, aged 37, of Cressingham Road, Bolton, was on licence for previous offending when he drove the vehicle on Eden Close on November 3.

The court heard that McKenzie had drunk more than two and a half times the legal alcohol limit, was banned from holding a licence and had no insurance.

He admitted committing the offences and was jailed for eight weeks, banned from applying for a licence for 25 months and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

"Flagrant" disregard for court orders

A MAN who breached a restraining order by contacting a woman has been jailed for eight weeks.

Manchester magistrates heard that Wayne Brown, aged 52, of Church Street, Little Lever, had a flagrant disregard for court orders. Brown pleaded guilty and was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Failed to identify driver

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £660 and banned him from driving for six months after he failed to give police information about the driver of a Citroen C3 alleged to have committed an offence.

The case against John Grady, aged 47, of Grosvenor Street, Kearsley, was proved in his absence at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

He was also ordered to pay £151 in costs and charges.

Restraining order breach

A MAN has been ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work after he breached a restraining order by going to an address in Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, on August 4.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Callum Brady, aged 22, of The Haven, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

He was also ordered to participate in 30 days of rehabilitation activities and must pay a £90 victim surcharge.

Man damaged window and television

MAGISTRATES have given a man a community sentence after he pleaded guilty to damaging a window and television in Bolton on November 5.

Kody Bates, aged 22, of Anson Street, Bolton, was fined £50, ordered to participate in 15 days of rehabilitation activities and must pay his victim £250 in compensation.

Restraining order breach

A MAN who breached a restraining order by attending an address in Bolton has been fined £80 by magistrates.

James Fitzgerald aka Wardle, aged 31, of Crossdale Avenue, Breightmet, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on November 5 and was also ordered to pay £117 in costs and charges.

Assault man jailed

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 20 weeks after he assaulted a woman in Blackrod on October 17.

Keith Oxford, aged 35, of Torrington Avenue, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

A restraining order was made banning Oxford from contacting his victim and he was ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Unpaid work for drug driver

A DRUG driver has been ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work after he was caught in a Toyota Yaris on the M60 at Trafford on April 6.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Amaan Shah, aged 28, of Brookfield Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to driving after taking cocaine and using cannabis. He also admitted having no insurance and possessing ketamine, cannabis and the drug Alprazalom.

In addition to the unpaid work Shah was banned from driving for 18 months, ordered to participate in 18 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £170 in costs and charges.

Thief stole candles

A SHOPLIFTER who stole candles and clothing has been given a suspended prison sentence by Bolton magistrates.

Sean Warburton, aged 31, of Watersmead Close, Bolton, pleaded  guilty to stealing candles, worth £24, from the Card Factory on June 17 and clothing, worth £360, on several occasions in June, from Matalan.

Warburton was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, must continue treatment for drug addiction and pay £115 in compensation.

Drink driver banned for 32 months

MAGISTRATES have banned a driver from the roads for 32 months after he admitted having drunk four times the legal level of alcohol.

Christopher O’Neill, aged 55, of Chorley Old Road, Bolton, admitted committing the offence driving a Ford Focus on Manchester Road on October 20.

O’Neill was sentenced to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, undergo treatment for alcohol addiction for nine months and participate in 15 days or rehabilitation activities.

He must also pay £175 in costs and charges.

Caught with cannabis

A MAN has been fined £80 by Bolton magistrates after he was twice caught with cannabis.

Waqas Ahmed, aged 35, of Castle Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offences on January 29 and February 11.

He was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.
