A RE-APPEAL has been made to find two men who stormed into a house and attacked elderly women.
Around 8.30pm on July 20, two men dressed in motorcycle suits and helmets forced their way into an address on St. Augustine's Avenue, Thorpe Bay, and struck two women in their 70s, who were inside the property at the time, with what has been described as a small black handgun.
A handbag and several pieces of jewellery were stolen.
Det Con Lucy Bowman, who is investigating the crime, said: "This was a distressing and traumatic attack which targeted vulnerable members of our community.
"Among the items stolen were two quite distinctive items; a 1967 silver Hebrew bible with stones of Eilat on the cover and a unique gold Cartier Star of David on a snake-style chain.
"These are very unusual items which had huge sentimental value to the owner and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen them for sale."
"We are still like to hear from anyone who can help us identify these two individuals.
"It was particularly warm in July and it would have seemed out of place to see two people dressed in full biking gear at that time."
