Hundreds turned out at an annual procession to mark the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
Several events of this nature are taking place across the UK and in Blackburn the crowds gathered at the Jamia Ghosia Mosque based on Chester Street over the weekend (Sunday).
The procession then made its way across Audley Range and before returning to the mosque.
Along the route residents were on hand to provide refreshments to crowds as they passed.
Volunteers and traffic marshals were on hand to ensure minimum disruption to road users.
This weekend (Sunday November 17) another march will take place beginning at the Madina Mosque based on Oak Street.
