"The evening promises to deliver the pioneers of the Panjabi and Urban Desi scene who have influenced and who created the British Asian music scene as we know it today.

"We are immensely proud to bring the likes of Malkit Singh OBE as well as the colourful Apache Indian amongst many others to the heart of Wembley. Its an event not to be missed”.

PERFORMING ON THE NIGHT

MALKIT SINGH OBE
The King of Bhangra, Malkit Singh MBE is THE Gold Standard (& The Golden Star) by which all Panjabi Artists are measured to. Held in the same regard as only Gurdasmaan & Kuldip Manak, his indelible influence on generations of musicians is not up for debate - its clear. His countless anthems, worldwide fan base and iconic voice have grown and crossed decades & has provided the soundtrack to every Panjabis childhood or family celebration.

APACHE INDIAN
Hailing from Handsworth, Birmingham, Apache was a phenomenal product of his surroundings, fusing Reggae influences from his local neighbourhood with the Panjabi heritage of his home - he created a unique sound that not only transcended his generation, but became the mouthpiece for a whole era of British Asian immigrants who grew up around fellow Caribbean & West Indian immigrants of the 70’s and 80’s.

He went on to chart globally with huge anthems and sign with Bob Marleys ‘Island Records’, affirming both approval & full embracement of his newly created vein of sound. Still touring worldwide, but rarely performing in London on such a stage, he joins us to take you on a journey back to the sound that caused a sensation in the 90’s & brings a feel good factor like no other.
