THE chief executive officer of Basingstoke Business Improvement District (BID) has moved on from the position.

Lucy Boazman took on the role in 2018, with the responsibility of ensuring Basingstoke businesses thrive, leading the Basingstoke Together team and organising numerous promotional events as well as training and networking sessions.

Posting on social media about her departure from the job, she said: “Today marks my last day as CEO at In Basingstoke. It’s been an absolute pleasure to meet and work with so many passionate people. Thank you especially to my awesome team Jo and James (and to our new rangers and Oli and Paul) for being all round amazing to work with.”

The 31-year-old, who used to manage nightclubs in London, led the Basingstoke BID which was set up to support the business community and improve the local trading environment.

She previously managed the Camberley BID.

Her successor started this week, and has been announced as Jane Stewart, who has moved on from a role as centre manager and marketing manager of 530,000sq foot town shopping centre The Brunel in Swindon.

Jane is already familiar with the Basingstoke area, having been the marketing manager of Festival Place for 13 years from 2000 to 2013.
