A SECOND homeless man has been hauled before the courts for...being "sat on the ground" on two separate occasions.

David John Brown, 39, of Lindley House homeless hostel, in East Reach, Taunton, was in breach of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

He had been issued with a community protection notice when he was seen sitting on the pavement in Church Square, Taunton, on April 6 this year.

Brown was again seen "squatting on the pavement" in East Street on May 7 and loitering in an area he had been banned from under a Community Protection Notice.

He pleaded guilty to both offences at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.

He was fined a total of £75.
