TWO women have been arrested after a man suffered injuries to his face and leg in an early morning incident.
Cleveland Police were called to a report of an assault at a property on Ash Hill in Coulby Newham, in Middlesbrough, at around 2am.
Officers attended the scene and two women aged 46 and 42 were arrested in connection with the incident. They currently remain in custody.
A 50-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Police were called to a report of an assault at a property on Ash Hill in Coulby Newham at around 2am this morning.
"Officers attended the scene and two women aged 46 and 42 were arrested in connection with the incident and currently remain in custody.
"A man, 50, suffered injuries to his face and leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
