REFURBISHMENT work at Luss Village Hall has been given the green light after a community group were successful in a £20,000 funding application.
The Luss Village Hall restoration and management committee have been awarded the money from the Asda Foundation, bringing the fund-raising total up to £70,000.
The funds will now be used to carry out upgrades within the hall, improving the toilets, kitchen and internal rooms.
Nick Voigt, chairman of the management committee, said: “The recent £20,000 award from the ASDA Foundation fills the funding gap and means that we can progress with the internal upgrade.
“We hope to do this between January and March 2020 and will meet shortly with our architect and proposed builder to plan this.”
The management committee are hoping the latest refurbishments, due to start early next year, will attract greater use of the hall and boost income, sustaining its use for community groups.
