The IMO (Inter Madrassah Organisation) is offering The Duke of Edinburgh Award to young people in the area.

Over the year IMO have been working closely with DofE and are proud to announce they are continuing this work with DofE to get as many young people in Blackburn with Darwen to achieve this invaluable achievement award.

More than 1,800 organisations across the UK – including schools, colleges, universities, youth clubs, the Scouts and Guides, young offender institutions and businesses – help to run over 13,200 DofE centres.

Many young people find achieving a DofE Award life-changing.

A fun adventure and major challenge, three progressive Award levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and a wide range of activities offer endless possibilities to anyone aged 14 to 24. Millions of young people in the UK have already taken part in the world’s leading youth achievement award – pushing personal boundaries, gaining new skills and enhancing their CVs and university applications.

DofE programmes are delivered under special licence to ensure they meet specific standards and young people are supported by a DofE Leader who offers advice and encouragement.

For the September 2019 cohort they have now opened the registration for those who wish to achieve the DofE award.
