Justice secretary Humza Yousaf has announced he is taking a "wee break" from Twitter after his infant daughter became the target of abuse.
The SNP MSP posted a message to the social media platform saying that while he is "thick-skinned" he won't tolerate his baby being bullied.

Mr Yousaf claimed he faces a "relentless barrage of abuse" daily, telling his more than 80,000 followers it came "mainly from the same quarters."

The post was liked and retweeted more than 2000 times.
In May, Mr Yousaf revealed the birth of his daughter on social media, admitting he was exhausted after the arrival.

He said: "How do people with newborn babies manage to do social media?! In fact how do they do anything other than - feed, burp, change nappy, change clothes, put to sleep, get woken up - repeat cycle?!"
