Comedian Tez Ilyas is hosting a night of comedy and food to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK.

The charity event will be held at the Bradford Hotel (former Hilton or Norfolk Gardens) on 22 August from 6.30pm.

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying or when a child is facing bereavement.

Every year they train more than 10,000 professionals, helping them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families. Bereavement support is acutely needed in Bradford as the city has the highest number of infant mortalities in the UK - double that of any other city.

Solicitor Nasreen Karim and event organiser has been promoting the work of Child Bereavement UK. Nasreen's nieces and nephews were bereaved ten years ago, following the death of their mother Shaheen Akhtar, who was just 36 years old.

The event is being held to raise awareness of the issue and of the services provided by Child Bereavement UK.

Apart from comedy from Tez, there will be magic from the one and only Infiniti, singing and food from Bombay Bites.

Tickets are £25.00 (plus eventbrite fee of £2.54) for standard or £40 (plus eventbrite fee of £3.71) for VIP tickets near the stage.
