A BUS crashed into a number of parked cars in Darwen.

Police were called to Church Street near the Bridgewater Pub at around 4.30pm on Friday.

A police spokesman said the bus crashed into several cars.

However no one suffered any serious injuries and no one was taken to hospital.

A Blackburn Bus Company spokesman said: “There was an accident involving one of our buses in Darwen town centre on Friday afternoon.

"Safety is our absolute priority, and we are currently working to establish the circumstances behind the incident."
