Surrey Police released new CCTV images of men wanted for questioning after an attempted knifepoint robbery near an Epsom pub.

As the Surrey Comet reported earlier this month, police launched an investigation after being called to The Parade in Epsom, near to The Rising Sun Pub, on June 6.

They described receiving a report that a man had been victim to an attempted knifepoint robbery.

The victim’s phone was demanded before he was struck across the head and sprayed with an unknown substance, police said.

As with their previous call for help with their investigation, Surrey Police described the two men (pictured) they wanted to speak to in relation to the incident.

"The first man officers are looking to identify is described as mixed race, short black hair, 6 ft tall and of a slim build.

"The second man is described as mixed race, afro-style short hair, 6 ft tall and of a skinny build. Both men are thought to be around 25 years of age. Both men were wearing black or dark clothing," a police spokesperson said.

"We’re also appealing for anyone with information about a dark coloured Nissan Micra, which was believed to have been parked on Laburnum Road at around the same time as the incident," the spokesperson added.
