ROTARIANS from the Netherlands took to the rails during a visit to the district.

The 14-strong party enjoyed a trip aboard the Haworth Haddock on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, which runs through Bronte country.

It was followed by dancing at Keighley Railway Station to the music of Helter Skelter.

The Rotarians – from Dronten – were hosted during their visit to the area by members of twin club, Skipton Craven.

Their itinerary also included Skipton Castle and market, Bolton Abbey and a cruise on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Truus Schweringa (pictured aboard the loco), president of the Dronten club, said she was delighted with the welcome she and colleagues had received in the district.
