A FLINTSHIRE man changed his plea and admitted a charge of wounding with intent.
It follows an incident when a woman suffered serious facial injuries.
James Thomas Wilkinson 34, of Y Gro, Gronant,, had previously pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent on February 14 and had been remanded in custody pending trial.
But he has now returned to Mold Crown Court where he pleaded guilty.
Judge Niclas Parry remanded him in custody pending sentence next month and said it was a very serious matter.
In view of his previous convictions, he said that he would want the issue of Wilkinson's dangerousness to the public to be assessed.
