A MINDFULNESS workshop that aims to teach residents how to incorporate a healthy diet and lifestyle into their daily lives is set to return, following its previous success.

Yoga teacher Ann Pyne and nutritionist Minna Wood from Bracknell have organised the yoga, nutrition and afternoon tea session, which will be held on Saturday, June 22 at St James Church Centre in Finchampstead.

The event will include a healthy afternoon tea, yoga, relaxation tips and advice about how to stay healthy throughout the summer.

Anna believes that a lot of people feel yoga is only for those who feel like they are young and flexible.

She said: “People see yoga as something that you can only do if you are young, flexible and happy to wear skimpy yoga clothes and that is so not true.

“Yoga allows you to create that space in your body and mind, to help you notice the body’s messages and allowing you to better manage the stresses and strains that our modern-day existence places on us.”

Minna, who is a qualified nutritionist hopes the session will inspire people to take control of their own health.

She added: “Our aim is to help people clear the diet confusion, educate them about their own biochemical individuality and inspire them to take control of their own health, get creative in the kitchen and fall in love with healthy delicious food.”

“Our seasonal yoga and nutrition events are for anyone who feels they need some me-time from their busy lives, have an interest in looking after their physical and mental health and want to educate themselves on how to incorporate healthy diet and lifestyle in their daily lives. “

A similar session was held earlier this year where attendees enjoyed gaining new knowledge.

Theresa believes she left the session feeling very relaxed.

She said: “I wasn’t sure how much I’d learn for the event but came away feeling relaxed, invigorated with some newfound knowledge of how to look after myself. I would highly recommend Ann and Minna and will certainly look out for future events.”
