ANNOYED residents of a busy Bradford road say they they are unable to park outside their house while work gets underway on a new sports centre.
Shaun Moorhouse, 64, who lives on Cleckheaton Road, claims parking spaces are being taken up by those working on the Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre.
He has described the situation as "inconvenient and annoying".
A spokesperson for ISG, the firm working on the site, said: “There are significant improvement works currently underway around the site of the new leisure centre, and contractors are working in the area from a number of different organisations.
"As well as the Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre development, a new pedestrian crossing, residents parking bays and several traffic islands are all being formed on Cleckheaton Road, by Bradford Council’s Highways team.
"With this increased activity, extra car parking facilities have been obtained at Odsal Stadium to reduce the potential impact of localised parking whilst works are taking place, and patrols have been increased by parking enforcement officers since work began in the area.
"Work to deliver the new £17.5 million Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre is on track for completion by late summer this year.”
