Dynamite Gymnastics Club hosted their annual display at the Lagoon Centre in Paisley last weekend with more than 1300 spectators treated to a fantastic day of gymnastics.

From the youngest beginners at just three-year-old to the adults in the senior display team, more than 450 gymnastics showcased their skills and talents in front of a packed crowd.

With a mix of young gymnastics, who were experiencing such a display for the first time having taken up the sport only a few months ago, alongside the more experienced gymnasts, many of whom are Great Britain squad members, the annual display showed that gymnastics really is a sport for all with fun and enjoyment on offer at all levels.

Acrobatics, tumbling and trampolining, the afternoon was an interesting showcase of a variety of different styles of gymnastics with a number of disciplines blending together well.

Such a display in front of an audience of more than 1000 takes a lot of hard work with Dynamite thanking a great team of coaches and volunteers who work year round to create amazing events like this for the club to display their talents and to provide opportunities for gymnastics of all ages and abilities.

Julie Wilson, marketing director at Dynamite Gymnastics Club, said: “The club are delighted at the amount of support we have received both from a volunteer and spectator perspective - the display would not be what it is without it, so we are genuinely thankful to them all.

“The coaches and gymnasts put a mammoth amount of effort into the display every year and I think the displays at the weekend showed they did a wonderful job, so a special thanks has to go to them.

“Now the display is over it’s time to turn attention to our next big competition, the Team Championships at Bells Sports Centre on Saturday, May 25.”
