Police are appealing for anyone who saw an attack on a man two months ago which left him with a broken jaw.
At around 11pm on Sunday February 24, a man in his 40s was walking along a pavement in King Georges Avenue, Watford, when a grey vehicle pulled up beside him.
He was by Astra Court when a man got out of the vehicle and began assaulting him. He kicked him and punched him, knocking him unconscious.
The victim ended up suffering a broken jaw. He was taken to hospital.
His attacker fled in his vehicle back towards Whippendell Road.
Detective Sergeant Helen Cox, from the Watford local crime unit, said: “We appreciate this happened a while ago now but we have only recently secured permission from the victim for a public witness appeal.
“We have followed a number of lines of enquiry but we would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault and who has not yet spoken to us.”
Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact DS Cox on helen.cox@herts.pnn.police.uk quoting reference 41/18219/19 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
