SCOTLAND’S warmest Easter weekend on record has gone down a treat in Glasgow at the botanic gardens.
With temperature highs today of 22C people were out in force at the gardens soaking up the sun on the last day of the band holiday weekend.
Ice cream vans, dogs and hundreds of happy people filled the gardens enjoying their day off in the sunshine.
Particularly enjoying the sunshine today was a trio of friends, Laura Cranston, 30, Culloden Robertson, 27, and Jennifer Hopkins, 24.

The girls were enjoying their day in the park taking photographs of their J fashion meet up.
J fashion, also known as Harajuku fashion, is what brought the girls together through their appreciation of Japanese clothing.
Jennifer said: “I saw someone at a convention who was dressed up then found out what it was called, then I found the online community and made friends to have these meet ups with.”
Laura explains that the J fashion community is huge worldwide and the girls are members of a group with around 60 active members where they all meet up.

Chris Faulds, 20, and Abbie Meehan, 19, were among others at the gardens enjoying their bank holiday Monday in the sunshine.
Chris said: “It’s been a great weekend in Glasgow, why would you want to be anywhere else in the sunshine.
“This has been the best weekend in the sunshine after finishing university for the year.”
It seems everyone has been enjoying and making the most of the Easter heatwave, however Met Office is reporting that temperatures get lower as the week goes on.
