Two men are due to appear in court after being charged with terrorism offences following an investigation into suspected "extreme right wing related online activity".
Morgan Seales, 19, and, Gabriele Longo, 26, are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, Counter Terrorism Policing North East said.
A spokesman added that the men's charges "follow an investigation into suspected extreme right wing related online activity".
Seales, of Turner Avenue, South Shields, faces seven counts of collecting information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing to commit an act of terrorism, Counter Terrorism Policing North East said.
He was charged with the offences on April 1.
Meanwhile, Longo, of Burdock Close, Crawley, faces four charges of the same offence, as well as three charges of disseminating terrorist publications and one of encouraging terrorism, having been charged with the offences on April 9, Counter Terrorism Policing North East added.
The two men have been remanded in custody pending their court appearance.
