PLANS for a new cycle shelter at a Shipley school have been lodged with Bradford Council.
Wycliffe CE Primary School, Saltaire Road (pictured) which lies within the buffer zone of the Saltaire World Heritage Site, has submitted the plans.
The shelter would be constructed in an area at the side of the school.
Councillor Kevin Warnes (Green, Shipley) said: "I am writing to support this proposal.
"I have a concern that the location of the cycle shelter is quite 'exposed' in the sense that the public could easily access that corner of the outside of the premises if they wanted to try to steal any of the bikes (as opposed to cycle storage by the main entrance).
"Nonetheless, on balance, I would far rather see the installation of cycle storage than not and commend the school for making this investment."
