Volunteers wanting to train for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme can do so with the Inter-Madrassah Organisation (IMO)

IMO is a direct Licence Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

A statement from the IMO read, "We are delighted to be in a position to recruit more volunteers to support our growing work with young people in Blackburn with Darwen wishing to take part in the DofE award.

"To support this work we intend to run two valuable half day training sessions which are suitable for new and existing DofE Leaders and helpers.

"The Introduction to the DofE training course acts as a general introduction to the DofE and to DofE delivery roles."

The training includes, the mission and guiding principles of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Understanding DofE levels, sections, timescales and the development of DofE programmes.

It also explores the DofE structure and how it supports leaders and the key roles of DofE Leaders.

If you feel you have the time and would like to give something back to the young people of Blackburn with Darwen then please register for our two half day face to face training sessions.

Training will be delivered from 9.30am till 12.30pm on Monday 25 March and Monday 1 April 2019 from Business Development Centre, Eanam Wharf, Blackburn, BB1 5BL.
