Eaten by Lions will celebrate its Northern Premiere on the 27 March at the Blackpool Winter Gardens. 

Open to the public, the Premiere event will have a special stand-up comedy performance by Tom Binns (Hospital People, The IT crowd) reprising his role as the hilarious fortune teller featured in the film. 

The star-studded event will also include a Q&A with VIP guests.

Antonio Aakeel and Jack Carroll star in 'Eaten By Lions' a story of two half-brothers who travel to Blackpool in a journey of self-discovery.

Omar (Aakeel) and Pete (Carroll), were raised by their Grandma after their parents were tragically killed by lions in a bizarre accident. When their beloved Gran passes away, they set out to find Omar's real father.

The film features Asim Chaudhry of People Just Do Nothing fame, Johnny Vegas and Nitin Ganatra.

Written by David Isaac and produced by the award-winning Hannah Stevenson this is director Jason Wingard’s second feature film.

Director Jason Wingard said: “Our film is a nostalgic love letter to Blackpool. It is where both writers came for childhood holidays and where the film is set so there's no better place to have our Northern Premiere.”

Actress Hayley Tamaddon said: “When I found out Eaten By Lions was going to be filmed in Blackpool I was over the moon.

"It’s my home town and I’m so proud of where I grew up. Some of the shots in the film are incredible, shows Blackpool in all its glory. From the pleasure beach to the stunning sunsets on the beach. I can’t wait for people to see it!”

Eaten By Lions is released in the UK on 29 March.
