Anthony Knockaert has vowed to be brave in the run-in as he aims to assist Albion to safety.

The Seagulls winger is pleased with his form after returning to the starting XI and is eyeing a magic moment or two at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Knockaert recognises his efforts to make things happen can sometimes frustrate.

But he plans to keep trying things – such as his part in the quick free-kick to beat Huddersfield – in the quest for points.

Knockaert said: “As a winger, you are going to try some stuff and I think the fans have to accept that.

“My job is to try some stuff and at times it is going to work and at other times it is not.

“I think I’ve tried to bring something to the team and it worked at the end with an assist so I’m really pleased.”

Knockaert had to kick his heels on the bench at Selhurst Park last season but was quite lively after replacing Jurgen Locadia at half-time.

He is likely to start this time and will pursue a second goal or seventh assist of the Premier League season.

The Frenchman is averaging an assist every 230 minutes in the league.

That figure puts him fifth in the Prem among players who have featured in at least half the games or played at least 700 minutes.

He is behind players including Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen and just ahead of Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling.

He has also scored twice in the FA Cup and could add to that at Millwall in the last eight.

But he added: “I don’t want to talk about the cup tie at the moment.

“It is not our focus. Our focus is on preparing for the derby and getting something there.”
