Florin Andone is relishing the dirty work of a relegation battle.

The Romanian striker eased Albion fears of relegation with his matchwinning header against Huddersfield.

Andone was hoping to avoid another battle against the drop after his summer switch from relegated Deportivo La Coruna in Spain.

But he says a fight to stay up holds no fears.

Andone told The Argus: “With Cordoba, we had problems. With Deportivo we had problems two seasons in a row.

“I’m used to it. This season is nothing new for me. It’s normal.

“I’m used to playing in dirty places, in the last positions in the table.

“For me it is just another match.

“I know it’s very important for us but I have big experience in these games, valuable experience.

“I have played in a lot of these games with that pressure and, for me, it’s one game more.”

Andone, back after a three-match ban, dedicated his 79th-minute strike to mum Adriana, who was visiting from Spain.

He added: “She is good energy for me and she brings me good luck. This goal is for her.”
