A networking group is urging businesses to attend the 'Saffron Group Superheroes Challenge'.

The 'Saffron Group Superheroes Challenge' aims to attract a diverse range of individuals and businesses from Lancashire.

The event will be taking place in association with the Blackburn Youth Zone on 6 March, from 7pm.

The Saffron Group consists of Lancashire Asian businesses and leaders, who have been meeting regularly to discuss how they can celebrate diversity across the region in a way that brings communities and businesses closer together.

Raz Mohammed CEO of Blackburn Youth Zone, "The Saffron Group is about forging meaningful relationships with the business community.

"We are bringing together like-minded people who share a real desire and passion to better engage with the diverse communities we have here in Lancashire and especially Blackburn with Darwen.

"These informal events will help to break down some of the historical barriers that exist, in both the business and wider community and make a difference in the community by giving locally through projects like the Blackburn Youth Zone (BYZ).”

This Challenge will be made up of teams from BYZ board members and BYZ staff, a team from the Saffron Group and a team made up of local businesses and networks like the Hive and East Lancs Chambers.

The evening will offer ample time to build relationships, have fun and cheer on a team or have a laugh at their misfortunes.

There will also be staff on standby to give you a tour of the Youth Zone and tell you more about how we make a difference to the lives of young people in the town and how you can get involved.
