PLANS to turn an empty pub on one of Bradford’s busiest roads into offices have been approved by Bradford Council.
The Napoleon on Wakefield Road is a listed building, but is currently vacant. It has previously been converted from a pub to a restaurant.
Last year Bridge-It Enterprises submitted a planning application to convert the ground floor into an office open to the public, and the first and second floor into general office use.
The application said any changes would complement the listed building, and that eight jobs would be based at the new offices.

Planning officers have now approved the proposals, saying: “This building has struggled to find a sustainable use and offices may offer the building a use which will be compatible with maintaining its special interest.”
The pub was built in the early 19th Century.
