GREEN-fingered drug dealers have seen their criminal plans in ruins after a massive cannabis factory was busted by police.

Officers discovered the factory, which contained more than 800 plants, in a property in Mount Street, off Leeds Road, just outside the city centre.

It was discovered by officers from Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team, who described the farm as "clearly a sophisticated set-up".

Unluckily for the drug producers, a large number of the plants appeared to be in the juvenile phase, so were not yet ready for harvest.

Two people were arrested by police in connection to the drugs farm.

In the photo shared by police, hundreds of plants can be seen stretching the length and breadth of the building.

Sergeant Andy Milner tweeted: "Yesterday, officers from Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team located a large Cannabis farm on Mount Street, Bradford with over 800 plants.

"Two males arrested and remain under investigation. Here is just a sample of what the officers located.

"Community intel is vital to our operations to make communities safer."

Cannabis is an illegal Class B drug, and the maximum sentence for production of the drug is 14 years in prisons, an unlimited fine, or both.
