Shmuli Brown, Chabad Rabbi at the Liverpool Universities posted,"Today, the Jewish cemetery in Whitefield, Manchester was vandalised and graves were smashed. These cowards picking on the dead trashed the place. This is a horrible act of antisemitsm."

The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester said it was shocked by the vandalism at Philips Park Jewish Cemetery.

A statement read, "People who commit such despicable acts show no respect  for the dead and are consumed by hatred of their fellow citizens. Attacking a cemetery is sickening. We hope that the perpetrators are found as soon as possible and dealt with severely."
